All the Lyocell at HEMA is certified with the Lenzing quality mark. Lenzing produces Lyocell under the name Tencel. Lyocell (Tencel) is a natural fabric made from wood pulp from the eucalyptus tree. The wood comes from forests with the FSC quality mark for responsible forest management. Eucalyptus trees require 80% less water, fertilisers and pesticides than cotton.

Lyocell (Tencel) is a very strong natural fibre, and feels soft and supple. In addition, Lyocell fibre is naturally antibacterial, which means that it needs to be washed less frequently than synthetic materials, for example.
